Meet the Authors

Allison Johnson
Allison is a published author. Her debut book Waking Up in the Middle of Nowhere: Finding my way in the Bi-Polar Marriage is a memoir about marriage and mental illness, it is the story of how against impossible odds, her husband’s life and their marriage was restored. Allison and Grant, her husband of eighteen years, live in Rockwall, Texas. Together they have been blessed with two children, Zachary and Kayla, and one great big yellow dog, Yukon.

Becky Kiser
Becky is a wife to Chris, a stay at home mom to Karis (and soon, baby Moriah!), a blogger, tweeter, and speaker. Her passion is that women would live for and love Jesus in a deeper, more genuine way. She loves hot Houston summers, Almond Joy coffee creamer, dance parties with her family, ice tea and any excuse to be outside! Becky and her family live in Houston and are active members at Bayou City Fellowship.

Bre’anna Emmitt

Bre’anna is a follower of Jesus, the wife of Chris, and the mom of Daniel, David and Cara. Born and raised in an Illinois farm town, she has adjusted well to the Texan life, even adapting her language to include the rampant use of the word “y’all.” She does not, however, use the phrase “fixin’ to,” much to her husband’s dismay. Bre’anna is a freelance writer and the founder of SozoWomen.com. Bre’anna considers it a great privilege to teach women’s Bible studies and minister alongside her husband at Community Bible Church in San Antonio, TX.

Cassidy Doolittle
Cassidy is married to Steve and spends her day wrangling their handsome little boy, Jake, and is expecting their next addition soon! The oldest of three girls, the daughter of a farmer, and a former nurse in the psychiatric ward, it’s safe to say that Cassidy has seen it all. Cassidy and her husband Steve minister together near Dallas, TX.

 Erin Lee

Erin is our awesome graphic and web designer. An eye and skill for all things crafty, Erin keeps this site looking beautiful and fresh – all in her spare time, of course. Erin’s official jobs are caring for her husband, G.W, their son Mason, and keeping up with her custom invitation business.

 Hannah Stovall
Hannah is a lover of family and a collector of sweet friends. She’s a bookworm and a movie buff, a wanderer and an expert at napping outside in the summer. Hannah has committed her writing to—not help people escape their reality—but rather encourage them to engage in it. She loves good conversation: over Mexican food, over coffee, over the phone, over hundreds of miles. She’s passionate about family discipleship and teaching littles to genuinely love God early and to love Him in big ways. Jan Tilley
Jan is a nutritionist and runs a booming firm in San Antonio, TX. She shares her expertise in her office, to classes, on local TV stations, and every Tasty Tuesday at SozoWomen.com. Jenni Miller

Jenni is a military wife to Chris and mom to their two kids, Jaxon and Juneau.  She is prior service military herself and recently began a new career in web programming after separating from the Army.  She lives in Washington D.C. and loves to capture her family and the world around her in pictures.  In her spare time, Jenni enjoys ministering to Soldiers and their families through praise and worship.

Mandy Majors

Mandy has been happily married to her best friend, Matt, for 13 years and they have two energetic kids – Ella is eight and Carter is five. Mandy graduated from Indiana University and works as a freelance paralegal. She also actively volunteers at Community Bible Church. Mandy loves her minivan, hates coffee and tries to survive on one Diet Coke a day!

Martha Fisher

Martha began feeling the Lord’s calling for her when she was five years old. Placing her dolls on the steps of her mother’s sewing room; she would speak and sing of the Lord to her hearts content. Currently, she is the Women’s ministry pastor at Community Bible Church in San Antonio, Texas. Martha has authored two children’s books, and a variety of dramas and poetry.

Sheri Bull

Sheri is a mother to three grown daughters and spends her days tending the apple orchard she co-owns, sending care packages to her grandson, and writing inspirational stories.  She has been published in Guidepost, Birds n’ Bloom, and several Chicken Soup books among others and enjoys traveling the country to see her girls and occasionally speak at women’s events.  She loves tending her raspberries, strong coffee, and making delicious baked goodies…and enjoying all those things with great friends.

Suzanne Nolan

Suzanne is a wife, mother and photographer extraordinaire. Suzanne lives in San Antonio, TX and uses her incredible photography talent to serve in ministry at Community Bible Church.
